The hotel is located in the middle of the historic downtown area, overlooking the Duomo Cathedral. The hotel has been created within a 6th century circular Byzantine tower and a medieval church; the original characteristics have been preserved in the buildings reconstruction and restoration. The architectural ruins discovered during the restoration are displayed in a private museum inside; the highlight being an original Roman Caldarium (plunge bath), found embedded in the foundations. Facilities onsite include a modern workout room, housing advanced Technogym equipment. The Santa Elisabetta restaurant is highly regarded for its creative interpretation of Florentine cuisine and excellent wine list. It is located in the quiet antique Byzantine tower and features a roof terrace with beautiful views across Florence.
